MyBookShelf ("we", "us", or "our") operates the MyBookShelf mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

1. Data Collection

We collect information to provide a better experience for our users. This includes:

• Account Information: When you sign up via Supabase Auth, we store your email and display name.
• Library Data: Titles, authors, and ISBNs of books you add to your collection are stored in our secure database.

2. Camera Usage

MyBookShelf requires access to your device's camera to perform two primary functions:

• ISBN Scanning: To quickly identify individual books.
• Spine Scanning (AI Vision): Our Service uses advanced computer vision to identify multiple books from a single photo of a bookshelf. Images used for spine scanning are processed securely and are used solely for the purpose of identifying your books.

3. AI and Third-Party Services

We use third-party AI services (Google Gemini) to provide book recommendations and metadata enrichment. Your book titles and ratings are processed by these services to generate suggestions. No personally identifiable information is shared with these AI models beyond the book data required for the function.

4. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google may use cookies or unique device identifiers to serve ads based on your interests.
